As part of Columbus’ continued AI growth, a new Center of Excellence is established, and AI leader Magnus Oxenwaldt is appointed as VP Group AI.

The reason behind establishing this Center of Excellence, the new role as VP Group AI, and our investments in new profiles is that we are extremely focused on delivering enterprise grade and responsible AI for our customers. The time for big visions and future scenarios is over. Customers are increasingly focused on concrete deliverables and return on investment in many of our conversations. Practical application is a major theme, and we want to meet that demand,” says Søren Krogh Knudsen.

This new global organisation is the latest in a series of investments supporting Columbus’ ambitious AI agenda, following the recent recruitment of 25 new AI specialists across the organisation. Their goal is to identify concrete AI solutions beneficial for Columbus’ existing and future customers, and to broaden the portfolio of services already provided today.

Magnus Oxenwaldt has worked for Columbus for 5 years as AI and Digital transformation Director and is now stepping into the new role of VP Group AI.

In this role, Magnus will serve as Columbus' global lead for AI, driving the implementation of the company's AI strategy "The Shift" and accelerating time-to-value for customers through AI-enhanced solutions.

"As Columbus' global AI lead, I'm committed to turning our AI strategy into tangible customer outcomes. We have the expertise, the team, and now the structure to deliver enterprise-grade AI that drives real business value. This is about practical impact, not abstract visions” says Magnus Oxenwaldt.

Magnus is already a well-known profile in the AI space, as he is the name behind Columbus’ AI News outlet Future Bytes, where he provides weekly updates on the latest happenings and hosts a podcast featuring in-depth interviews and views. Before joining the company, he has worked as an IT Management Consultant, CTO, COO, CCO, and business owner in the digital transformation and AI space. Magnus is a respected thought leader in the field and a practitioner with over 20 years of experience.

This new role will be effective immediately.
