Columbus keeps investing in emerging talent

Columbus brought together its 2026 Global Accelerator cohort, welcoming 15 emerging talents from Sweden, Norway, the UK and Poland for days of learning, networking and professional development.

The Columbus Accelerator Program is designed to identify and develop emerging talent, giving participants the opportunity to build skills, expand their network and gain insight into the people, industries and technologies shaping the future of Columbus.

More than 1,000 applications were received for this year’s program, with 15 participants selected to join the global cohort. The group represents a broad range of professional and educational backgrounds, including AI and machine learning, software development, supply chain, finance, manufacturing, life science, law and procurement.

“The Accelerator Program is an important investment in the future of Columbus. We want to give talented people the opportunity to grow quickly, build strong networks and make an impact early in their careers,” says Katharina Riesenhuber Hofman, CPO at Columbus. “What made this year’s program particularly valuable is the diversity of perspectives and experiences our Accelerators brought. By learning from each other and from colleagues across Columbus, they are not only developing themselves; they are also helping shape the future of our organisation.”

During the gathering, the Accelerators took part in sessions with Columbus leaders and experts, developed new skills and connected with colleagues across business areas and countries. The program also introduced participants to Columbus’ Industry Expertise communities, supporting knowledge sharing across sectors and markets.

A key part of the Accelerator experience is the support network built around each participant, including managers, mentors and buddies. Many of the buddies are former Accelerators themselves, offering first-hand insight into navigating the early stages of a career at Columbus.

The days at Columbus HQ in Copenhagen also highlighted the breadth of career opportunities within the organisation. One example is Tim Vincze, who joined Columbus as an Accelerator in 2019 and has since progressed to become a Director in the Swedish Dynamics business, now sharing his experience in the entry level Consultancy skills training.

The global gathering in Denmark forms part of the wider Columbus Accelerator Program, a six-month development program designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to build successful careers. Alongside global professional training, the Accelerators receive technical training within their respective business lines, giving them a strong foundation to support Columbus customers and grow into the experts of the future.

“There is no single career path at Columbus, and there is no predefined limit to what you can achieve,” says Katharina Riesenhuber Hofman. “We encourage our Accelerators to stay curious, take ownership, share their expertise and help each other succeed. That is how individual talent becomes a collective strength.”
