Columbus is strengthening its Swedish organisation with the appointment of Carl Öberg as Marketing Director. With his experience in marketing, technology and go-to-market strategy, Carl will focus on increasing Columbus’ market visibility and bringing the company’s broad portfolio of digital transformation and agentic capabilities closer to Swedish customers.
Carl Öberg joins Columbus with several years of experience across strategic and operational marketing, from the technology and IT sector. In his new role, he will be responsible for strengthening Columbus’ local marketing efforts and supporting the Swedish sales organisation through a focused and effective go-to-market strategy.
Working closely with Columbus CMO and Managing Director for Sweden, Beatrice Silow, as well as the wider marketing organisation, Carl will help further develop the company’s position in the Swedish market and increase awareness of Columbus’ capabilities across areas including AI, data, cloud, ERP, CRM, digital commerce and business transformation.
“We are at an exciting point in Columbus’ development in Sweden. We have strong capabilities, a growing market presence, and an increasingly broad offering that creates real value for our customers. Carl brings an impressive combination of strategic perspective, commercial drive and hands-on go-to-market experience. His understanding of the technology landscape, together with his ability to connect marketing, sales and business priorities, will be a great asset as we continue to strengthen Columbus’ position in the Swedish market,” says Beatrice Silow, CMO and Managing Director for Sweden at Columbus.
Carl Öberg most recently served as Acting Head of Marketing at Exsitec, where he was responsible for brand development, marketing and lead generation strategies. He has also worked with Columbus partner Informind.ai as a Marketing Strategic Advisor, giving him previous insight into Columbus’ ecosystem and offering.
“I’m very excited to join Columbus and contribute to the next phase of its journey in Sweden. Columbus has a strong position, a broad portfolio and a clear ambition to help customers navigate an increasingly complex technology landscape. I see a great opportunity to sharpen how we bring that value to the market, connect our expertise with customer needs and create stronger momentum across marketing and sales. Together with the marketing team, I look forward to supporting Columbus’ growth by creating new business opportunities, both within our existing customer base and, importantly, by attracting and engaging new customers,” says Carl Öberg, Marketing Director Sweden at Columbus.
Alongside Carl Öberg, Columbus is also strengthening its Swedish marketing team with the appointment of Niclas Lundberg as Marketing Specialist, further increasing the organisation’s capacity to support brand building, campaigns and go-to-market activities in the Swedish market.
Both Carl and Niclas will be based at Columbus’ Stockholm office and will work closely with colleagues across the Swedish and global organisation.
