NEW DANISH NATIONAL TEAM JERSEY UNVEILED: BUILDING ON THE RED & WHITE TRADITIONS
4.3.2026 10:02:15 CET | Hummel | Press release
The new home jersey will debut in the World Cup playoff match
against North Macedonia and will be worn over the next two
years.

When the Danish Men’s National Team takes to the pitch at Parken
on March 26 for one of the most important matches in many
years, they will do so wearing a new national team jersey.
For the World Cup playoff against North Macedonia, the
red-and-white colors will once again take the field. These are
the same colors that have followed the Men’s National Team
through generations and have given us moments we will never
forget.
The new national team jersey has been designed with one
clear ambition: to unite the players who wear it on the pitch
with the incredible fans who support the Danish Men’s National
Team through thick and thin. The roles may be different, but the
dreams are the same.
“We have created a jersey that tells the story of Danish football
while also looking ahead,” says Lars Stentebjerg, CEO at
hummel. “It is a jersey for all Danes. Whether you are standing
in Parken, watching the match from home, or playing yourself
at your local club, this is a piece of Danish identity you can wear
with pride - in victory and in defeat.”
“The new jersey symbolizes everything the national team
stands for,” says Peter Møller, Director of Football at the Danish
FA (DBU). “When the players run onto the pitch in these colors,
they carry the dreams of all of Denmark on their shoulders. The
players love representing the national team and are always
proud to represent Denmark and millions of Danes. I know they
will do everything they can to win every match and unite the
country behind the team.”
It is a longstanding tradition for hummel and DBU to present
a new national team jersey for the Men’s National Team every
two years.
Details of the new jersey
The new national team jersey is rooted in the classic red look
and created with respect for tradition, while keeping an eye on
the matches ahead.
The stripes add depth and draw subtle references to previous
national team jerseys. The DBU and hummel logos are placed
centrally on the chest. The Danish flag is integrated into the
neck as a simple mark of who the jersey is worn for.
The flag also pays tribute to the “Roligan” movement, which
40 years ago during the 1986 World Cup in Mexico turned the
Danish flag into an international symbol of community, celebration,
and fair play.
The new home jersey will debut in the World Cup playoff against
North Macedonia at Parken and will be worn by the Men’s
National Team for the next two years. The away jersey will be
unveiled in the days leading up to the match in either the Czech
Republic or Ireland on March 31.
The Danish goalkeeper jerseys are available from today and, as
always, come in three different colors: this time yellow, green,
and dark grey.
The new national team jersey is available today at Landsholdsshoppen.
dk, in hummel stores nationwide, and at
selected retailers.
