SASHA ApS, a pioneering image protection tech startup, has been named one of Europe’s Top 100 Startups by The Europas, an award that highlights Europe's most innovative and promising companies. Founded by TechCrunch Editor Mike Butcher, The Europas has previously recognized major tech successes at their early stages.

SASHA Founder & CEO, Thomas Eriksson, shares his excitement about the honor:
"When you’re so deeply focused on the work, it’s easy to overlook milestones and keep fixated on what’s next. I couldn’t be prouder of what our team has accomplished this year, and being recognized for our hard work truly means the world. I’m excited for SASHA’s future, and our next stop is Lisbon for the Top 100 celebration and Web Summit 2024."

This recognition comes from a distinguished panel of investors, including representatives from Passion Capital, DN Capital, Creandum, Accel, Seedcamp, Balderton Capital, Speedinvest, and many others—investors known for backing Europe’s leading startups at their early stages.

What’s Next for SASHA?
Looking ahead, SASHA is preparing to launch its first product, a mobile app designed to protect individuals' images online. Set for release next year, this app responds to the growing demand SASHA identified in its research.

"We’ve seen a real need for individual protection, and this app is a natural next step in fulfilling our mission. At the same time, we’re pushing forward with partnerships that enable prevention on a larger scale," says Thomas who founded SASHA 4 years ago after a family member experienced image abuse firsthand.

SASHA has already tested a successful integration with iMessage, proving the feasibility of embedding image protection in everyday platforms.

“Our goal is to make image protection a seamless part of users’ digital experiences, with a core technology that works across multiple platforms to strengthen online safety,” he continues.
