Mads Vieth, who has been CFO at Viggo for 3.5 years, will assume a new role as Managing Director for Viggo’s EV charging business, Viggo Energy. André Sode, a seasoned CFO with an impressive background from Liva Healthcare and Saxo Bank, will replace Mads and take over the finance department. André Sode will provide extensive experience with funding and scaling of businesses, which are key focus points in Viggo at the moment.

“We are focused on growth and scaling Viggo as a whole right now, which makes it the right time to bring on André. I’m excited that we are capable of reeling in such a senior profile”, says CEO & Co-founder Kenneth Herschel.

“As a part of this innovative green tech company, I'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the world and be part of a great team that is leading the charge towards a cleaner and greener planet. I am really excited to join Viggo”, says André, new CFO in Viggo.

Stronger focus on EV charging to further expand operations

Viggo Energy specialises in setting up ultra-fast EV chargers in urban areas, and currently has three operational sites, around Greater Copenhagen, with another central location in Copenhagen, just around the corner. This will take Viggo Energy’s charge point total up to 28. A number which is expected to increase to 100 within the next 12 months.

“Mads has played a pivotal role in laying the foundation for Viggo Energy, and now, as Managing Director, he’ll be able to improve an already strong growth trajectory for our urban charging services”, says Kenneth Herschel.

On a mission to accelerate the green transition

With a mission to democratise EV charging and make it accessible in urban areas, Viggo Energy is on a mission to expand its charging operations to more locations around Denmark and throughout Europe. These changes in leadership roles reflect Viggo's commitment to its growth strategy and vision of providing sustainable mobility solutions.
