Opening of application round for the new green, and climate program: Danida Green Business Partnerships

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to announce the new program Danida Green Business Partnerships (DGBP) – which is now open for applications for innovative green commercial partnership.

Through the past months the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with a range of partners have worked intensively to prepare for the approval of the DGBP by the Danish Minister for Development Cooperation Flemming Møller Mortensen has approved DGBP. The deadline for application is 12 September 2022.

The Danida Green Business Partnerships is a challenge fund designed to promote a market-driven green transition and inclusive economic growth in developing countries and emerging markets in line with the Danish Strategy for Development Cooperation, The World We Share.

The Danida Green Business Partnerships will bring commercial- and non-commercial actors together in partnerships to promote sustainable green commercial solutions to challenges related to climate degradation which at the same time can promote economic development through job creation. As such DGBP projects will promote both commercial and development objectives. The DGBP programme draws on lessons learnt from Danida Market Development Partnerships (DMDP), where a total of 36 projects have been approved of which 33 is still under implementation, creating jobs and income opportunities in Danida’s partner countries.

The official launching of the program presenting the political ambitions and expected results is planned in the near future in support of a strong and successful engagement by new partners.
