Exhibitors experienced commercial tailwinds and international attention when Copenhagen International Fashion Fair introduced a curated area for Nordic beauty brands for the first time in February 2023. Building on this success, the upcoming August fair will expand further, encompassing more square meters and featuring internationally renowned companies.

For 30 years, CIFF has helped fashion companies establish valuable relationships with buyers and media from around the world. The same approach applies to the strategic work with Nordic beauty brands, which came to light during the anniversary edition of CIFF 60 earlier this year.

"We are immensely proud of the impressive results and the positive response from the industry following the inaugural edition of CIFF Beauty. Achieving global recognition in publications like Forbes Magazine was a significant milestone. We aim to be the same trading platform, growth engine, and community facilitator for the beauty industry that CIFF has been for the fashion industry for decades," says Sofie Dolva, Director of CIFF, elaborating:

"While fashion and beauty are closely connected, the beauty industry has its own dynamics and peculiarities concerning technology, consumer demands, trends, certifications, and production. We take these factors into account as we specifically work to raise awareness of our exhibiting beauty brands from Denmark, the Nordic region, and other countries."

International brands, consumer events, and talks

During CIFF 61, taking place in parallel with Copenhagen Fashion Week from August 9th to 11th, 2023, a wide range of reputable beauty brands from Denmark and Scandinavia will once again converge at the Bella Center Copenhagen, where they will have even more square meters to showcase their offerings. This includes brands like Rudolph Care, HONEY, S:KØN Skincare, Alûstre, Mantle, Raw, Woods, Porcelain Perfumery, and Greenlandic brand Inua Care, among others.

This time, the geographical perspective will be expanded to include renowned international players, such as the Polish brand Bogna Skin. Another exciting addition is a consumer-oriented push into an otherwise traditional B2B setup. This means that ordinary consumers will have access, at selected times, to meet the people behind their favorite brands, as well as touch, smell, and test the best beauty products of today and the future.

Furthermore, a curated talk program tailored to the beauty segment will benefit both visitors and exhibitors.

Industry voices:

Ditte Søndergaard Bihorac, CEO of Rudolph Care:

"For us, CIFF is not just a trade fair, but an opportunity. An opportunity to unfold the story of Rudolph Care to stakeholders, the press, and retailers who are not yet familiar with us. At the same time, it's a unique occasion to engage in conversations and exchange ideas with industry colleagues. We often find ourselves in competing silos, but we share a common goal of showcasing the values behind Danish and Scandinavian beauty to the world. Together, we can achieve this at CIFF."

Liv Winther, Founder of HONEY:

"As a newly established skincare brand, CIFF was our first trade fair experience, and everything fell into place perfectly. We were put on the map alongside established brands, and we exchanged experiences with them. Moving forward, we expect to establish even more contacts with foreign retailers who are part of CIFF's network, but whom we don't have direct access to. Therefore, CIFF's new focus on beauty represents a unique growth opportunity that aligns with our own strategy."

Mina Ingerslev, CEO & Founder, S:KØN Skincare

"The upcoming August fair will mark a significant milestone for S:KØN Skincare. Throughout my years in the industry, I have received numerous offers for exhibition opportunities, but CIFF Beauty is the first time I have witnessed a perfect alignment between our brand and its sustainability and aesthetics. We have been overwhelmed by the immense interest generated after our Triple Serum Booster won the prestigious award for the Danish Beauty Awards, presented by CIFF themselves. Now, we eagerly anticipate translating this interest into new business opportunities."
