Onomondo announces majority investment from Aspirity Partners to scale global IoT infrastructure

Copenhagen, Denmark, 30 September 2026: Aspirity Partners (“Aspirity”) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in Onomondo (“the Company”), the global IoT infrastructure & connectivity company, leading a combined investment north of €100 million. EIFO, Denmark's sovereign investment fund and an Onomondo backer since 2021, will increase its investment alongside Aspirity.

Headquartered in Copenhagen, Onomondo is a pioneer in the global IoT infrastructure space, powered by a proprietary, end-to-end technology stack purpose-built to navigate a world experiencing an acceleration of device connectivity. In the same way that platforms like AWS simplified cloud deployment for global enterprises, Onomondo abstracts away network friction to provide the invisible architecture driving this universal “connectivity of everything”. As physical AI moves decision-making onto devices themselves, those devices need infrastructure that reaches them wherever they are. Onomondo provides that foundation by enabling intelligence directly at the 'Edge'.

With native access to nearly 700 networks worldwide, the company grants enterprises total control, flexibility, and orchestration over their assets. This seamless ecosystem is driven by Onomondo's deployed infrastructure, spanning strategically across the device, the Radio Access Network (RAN), and the cloud, anchored by patented Cloud Connectors and a proprietary technology stack.

Through breakthrough innovations like their SoftSIM technology, alongside a unique capability to deploy hybrid public/private networks, Onomondo delivers an unmatched, infrastructure-driven architecture that is the foundation edge intelligence depends on. The hybrid network capability is anchored by their deployment of what is believed to be the world's largest private LTE network at sea across more than 450 Maersk vessels, allowing these assets to transition seamlessly between private shipboard networks and global public networks.

The combined investment will drive Onomondo's next phase of growth by expanding its international market presence and scaling its infrastructure deployment. This funding allows the company to continuously develop its proprietary technology, ensuring it outpaces competition in established connectivity markets while uniquely positioning the platform to capture entirely new, untapped opportunities across the expanding global IoT landscape.

The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to complete in Q1 2027.
