The partnership will be announced during the 22nd edition of PARAISO Miami Swim Week, taking place May 27-31, 2026 in Miami Beach, and will officially launch at CIFF 67 this August in Copenhagen, where PARAISO Miami Swim Week will introduce a dedicated showcase highlighting selected brands from its international portfolio.

The collaboration forms part of CIFF’s expanding strategic focus on activewear, wellness, and lifestyle - categories that continue to reshape the global fashion industry and consumer behavior. As highlighted by The Business of Fashion, the active lifestyle and “athleisure” markets have evolved far beyond performance apparel into a broader “wellbeing economy,” where consumers increasingly integrate health, longevity, movement, and wellness into their identities and purchasing decisions.

As part of this strategic direction, CIFF will soft-launch the new category focus during CIFF 67 through a curated PARAISO Miami Swim Week activation featuring selected resort and swimwear brands, including Miami-based resort wear label SIGAL.

“We have long explored the right framework for a partnership between CIFF and PARAISO Miami Swim Week, and now the timing and vision feel perfectly aligned,” says Sofie Dolva, Director of CIFF. “Fashion today extends far beyond clothing - intersecting with lifestyle, wellness, travel, and community. Through this partnership, we have the opportunity to engage new international audiences, strengthen our focus on these evolving categories, and create a platform that moves beyond the traditional fashion week format.”

“This partnership represents a natural evolution for PARAISO Miami Swim Week as we continue expanding the global conversation around resort wear and the cultural influence of destination-driven fashion. CIFF brings a highly respected international platform with a forward-thinking perspective on fashion and business, and together we have an opportunity to create meaningful cross-market visibility for brands operating at the intersection of fashion, travel, and contemporary lifestyle,” says Natalija Dedic Stojanovic, the co-founder of PARAISO Miami Swim Week.

The collaboration between CIFF and PARAISO Miami Swim Week is planned as an ongoing annual partnership with activations and initiatives focused on the August edition in Copenhagen.

“PARAISO Miami Swim Week brings an important international network of brands, press, creators, and cultural relevance that we see as highly valuable as part of this initiative,” adds Dolva.

As part of the partnership, SIGAL will participate in PARAISO Miami Swim Week’s “RISE” showcase this May as part of the broader CIFF x PARAISO collaboration and will subsequently be featured during CIFF 67 in Copenhagen this August.

The positioning highlights SIGAL as one of the brands participating in the collaborative project between the two platforms, reinforcing the shared vision of supporting internationally growing resort wear brands.

Founded in Miami by Venezuelan designer Sigal Cohen Wolkowiez, SIGAL is known for transforming hand-painted artwork into contemporary resort wear inspired by travel, art, and Latin American culture. The brand is currently carried by Anthropologie and continues to gain international attention for its distinctive storytelling approach to resort dressing.

SIGAL’s upcoming Resort 2027 collection, CHUAO, draws inspiration from the designer’s birthplace in Venezuela - a coastal town where mountains, rivers, cacao traditions, and Caribbean culture intersect.

“This collection is rooted in longing, a quiet homage to home, memory, and the enduring spirit of Venezuela. Inspired by Chuao, a place rich in culture that continues to live within me, the collection translates warmth, color, and emotion into wearable art. Through fashion, I continue telling stories that transcend borders, carrying with them an extraordinary richness of creativity, humanity, and beauty. Presenting this collection through the collaboration between PARAISO Miami Swim Week and CIFF feels especially meaningful: a meeting of cultures, perspectives, and global creative communities.” says Sigal Cohen Wolkowiez, Founder of SIGAL.

The partnership further reflects CIFF’s broader transformation into a year-round global platform supporting brands through international activations, curated partnerships, and cross-market visibility beyond the traditional trade fair calendar.
