Aeven's first annual report: focus on stable operations and responsible business conduct
21.6.2024 00:00:00 CEST | Aeven A/S | Press release
Today, Aeven presents its first annual reporting with their 2023 results and the strategy for the coming years. Aeven remains focused on driving innovation, enhancing customer experiences, and maintaining commitment to the responsibility agenda as a leading provider of digital infrastructure.

Aeven was established just over a year ago following a carve-out from NNIT. Starting with around 1,400 employees and more than 40 customers, Aeven has spent the last year establishing a solid foundation and expanding business.
Chief Executive Officer in Aeven, Henrik Bodskov, says:
"I am very proud of all the milestones we've reached in 2023. This year has been extraordinary, as we've built a new company while maintaining and developing the business we inherited. From financial growth through important contracts to innovation and our work with responsibility, Aeven colleagues in all our locations have worked with dedication to our business. Looking ahead, we are committed to driving forward these cornerstones of Aeven to create value for our customers as well as our colleagues."
Despite a financial situation heavily impacted by the carve-out, Aeven has successfully created visibility in the industry and maintained trust through ongoing collaboration with existing customers. The acquisition of Sentia in the fall of last year marked the first step towards expansion, followed by the signing of the contract with KMD in the spring this year, reinforcing Aeven's wish to invest and grow in the Danish market.
Chief Financial Officer in Aeven, Claus Dennig Jespersen, says:
"2023 marked the launch of Aeven as an independent company, and it has been an eventful year with growth and valuable lessons. Our focus has been on securing stable operations and establishing all functions of a standalone company. Although in line with expectations, our financials have been impacted by costs related to the carve-out and build-up of Aeven."
Financial highlights for the first 8 months
- Revenue of 904 mDKK
- Net loss after tax of 2,4 mDKK
- EBITDA margin of 10,3%
- The financial performance is impacted by non-recurring costs related to the carve-out and build-up of the stand-alone company.
Aeven's second year and beyond
Maintaining stable operations, high customer satisfaction scores, and growing the Aeven business are top priorities. For Aeven, 2024 also includes developing new services and solutions within security and in the cloud area relating to Aeven's new partnership with Microsoft.
Other prioritized initiatives for the coming year also include expanding the critical IT infrastructure business through Aeven's acquisition of Sentia and the contract with KMD (subject to authority approval). Moving forward, Aeven is focused on streamlining operations across the Group, while driving forward emissions reporting and meeting environmental, societal, and economic/governance demands.
