Columbus is strengthening its position in the food and beverage industry through the divisional acquisition of the Norwegian consultancy firm Accigo AS. This acquisition marks a significant strategic move to expand Columbus’s presence in the food and beverage sector and enhance its capacity to deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions. With this deal, Columbus further reinforces its status as the leading Dynamics 365 provider in Norway.
Over many years, Accigo has established a strong presence in the Norwegian food and beverage industry, serving clients with stringent requirements for traceability, quality, and efficient logistics. As Accigo AS becomes part of Columbus, both customers and employees will benefit from access to a larger professional environment, an expanded service portfolio, and a more robust delivery organisation.
“Bringing Accigo AS into Columbus provides a significant boost in one of our primary markets. They bring highly experienced Microsoft Dynamics consultants with extensive industry knowledge, along with a portfolio of loyal and long-standing customer relationships. Together, we are even better equipped to deliver large and complex projects to some of the most demanding companies in the sector,” says Kjell Magne Ramsli, Delivery Director at Columbus.
Enhanced Scalability and Predictability
The transfer also brings more of the value chain into unified delivery teams, improving scalability and customer predictability.
“By combining Accigo AS’s specialised expertise in the food and beverage industry with Columbus’s Nordic footprint, broad range of services, and organisational scale, we create an exceptionally strong offering. With Microsoft Dynamics 365 as the foundation of the digital platform, we can support customers from end-to-end. From advisory and implementation to ongoing maintenance and continuous development of their solutions,”says Eivind Hagen, VP Dynamics at Columbus.
Strengthened Professional Community
For Accigo AS, the acquisition marks the start of a new phase, providing opportunities to further develop both customer relationships and professional capabilities.
“This divisional acquisition represents a clear win–win. Our customers will gain access to a larger and more specialised organisation with greater capacity and long-term stability. At the same time, it creates new opportunities for our employees, who will become part of a broader competence environment with more exciting projects and stronger professional communities,” says Michael Balkö, Chairman of Accigo AS.
