STARK Group acquires yet another branch in Denmark

With the acquisition, the company strengthens its local presence on the island, known as the Sunshine Island. The one-branch acquisition follows last year’s opening of the first STARK branch on Bornholm that covered a “white spot” on STARK Group’s map of Denmark.
CEO of STARK Denmark, Britta Korre Stenholt says:
”With two branches on Bornholm, we follow our strategy of being locally present and close to our customers. The customers appreciate our service and product range, and we can see that there is room for another branch that can meet the demands and wishes of the professional craftsmen. This applies especially in Allinge, which experiences great growth from the many tourists, holiday homeowners and Denmark’s leading festival for politics with more than 100,000 participants, Folkemødet, which has made the city flourish.
With the acquisition, STARK Danmark continues its growth strategy: Over the past year, the builders’ merchant, which is Denmark’s largest retailer and distributor of building materials, has acquired four former XL-Byg branches in the Southern part of Funen, opened four STARK shops in the capital city of Copenhagen and a branch in Rødbyhavn as part of the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel between Denmark and Germany: Northern Europe’s largest bridge construction.
The parties have chosen not to disclose the terms and price of the transaction.
