STARK Group has signed an agreement to acquire Dach & Wand from the Swiss building materials manufacturer Swisspearl Group – a leader in high-end sustainable roofing and facade materials.
With an annual revenue of more than EUR 135 million, Dach & Wand is among Austria's leading companies within sale and distribution of heavy building materials to professional craftsmen.
Dach & Wand has seven branches in Austria's largest cities and serves more than 3,200 professional craftsmen.
Søren P. Olesen, CEO of STARK Group, says:
“I am pleased to welcome 150 new employees. This is a strong team with specialist knowledge and a strong relationship with professional craftsmen. The team will continue to evolve our business in collaboration with our German roof and facade business, Melle Gallhöfer.”
In March 2021, STARK Deutschland completed the acquisition of German Melle Gallhöfer, a market leader within retail and distribution of roofing and facade materials in Germany.
STARK Group is a market leader in the Nordics and Germany within retail and distribution of heavy building materials to professional craftsmen, with a history dating back to 1896. In 2019, the company also gained a foothold in the German market. STARK Group has subsequently completed several acquisitions in Germany, which account for about half of the company's current revenue.
The Austrian acquisition is the Group’s first outside the Nordics and Germany. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals. The parties have chosen not to disclose the terms and price of the transaction.
