STARK Group consolidates in Denmark after approval of XL-Byg Jens Schultz acquistion

“I am very pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition and get the opportunity to finally welcome another 112 Danish colleagues to the STARK Group family. With the acquisition of XL-Byg Jens Schultz A/S, we will gain a good foothold in an important region in Denmark, allowing us to offer even better service to our customers,” says Søren P. Olesen, CEO of STARK Group.
The four branches will continue to provide the best possible service for the customers, and especially STARK Danmark’s superior logistics will be an improvement. STARK has the industry's largest fleet of trucks and can deliver the right products on time, exactly when, where, and how the customers need them. As a result, the customers get access to a large selection of high-quality building materials close by, no matter where in Denmark they build.
"We have been looking forward to getting the acquisition approved. With STARK as the new owner, we have the best conditions for continuing and further developing Jens Schultz's life work. By becoming part of a strong, nationwide chain, we are being strengthened locally. In this way, it is a win-win situation for everyone in the area,” continues Thomas Skovlund Madsen, Director of the four Jens Schultz branches.
XL-Byg Jens Schultz A/S celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2019 and can look back at a long history with a positive development over five decades. With the acquisition of XL-Byg Jens Schultz A/S, STARK Danmark will have a total of 73 stores in Denmark.
