STARK Group continues to grow in Sweden
9.10.2019 06:00:00 CEST | STARK Group | Press release

“I’m pleased to welcome our new colleagues to the Beijer family. We have had a dialogue with Bygg-Ole, which we have come to terms with. We complement each other very well both culturally, strategically and geographically. Together we will build on these strengths, ensuring that we can continue to accommodate the Swedish builders in the best way possible, says Geir Thomas Fossum, CEO of Beijer Byggmaterial.
Together, Beijer and Bygg-Ole will be the largest player in the Stockholm region, with coverage from north to south, along with three logistics hubs. The four branches will continue to carry the name Bygg-Ole as it is a strong brand in the region. Beijer Byggmaterial has also signed a long-term lease agreement with the owner family's real estate company Mensätra Fastighets AB.
“I am very pleased to announce this new acquisition in Sweden and to welcome our new Swedish colleagues to STARK Group. The four branches fit perfectly into our strategy, focused primarily on serving the small and medium-sized professional customers in the construction and renovation industry,” says Søren P. Olesen, CEO of STARK Group.
With the acquisition, Beijer Byggmaterial grows to a total of 73 branches in Sweden.
The parties have chosen not to disclose the terms and price of the transaction.
