The United Nations marks its 80th anniversary on 24 October 2025, celebrating eight decades of advancing peace, human rights, social progress, and sustainable development across the globe. To commemorate this milestone, UN City Communications (UNCC) hosts a high-level event in UN City Copenhagen on United Nations Day. The Danish Minister for Environment and Gender Equality, Magnus Heunicke, will deliver a keynote, followed by panel debates with ambassadors, and experts, who will reflect on the UN’s legacy and discuss the future of multilateral cooperation in an evolving world.

Integrated solutions to the climate emergency and sustainable development crisis are being advanced by government leaders and civil society experts at the 6th Global Conference on Climate and SDG Synergy, on 27 and 28 May at UN City in Copenhagen.

Leaders to tackle climate and development crises with integrated solutions at UN Conference in Copenhagen. This global conference will offer an important opportunity to strategize on how to achieve greater impact by tackling multiple crises with integrated solutions, driving climate action and broader changes in sustainability and finance systems.

The Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967*, Ms. Francesca Albanese, will be visiting Denmark and wishes to brief the press in Copenhagen on 5 February 2025, at 10 AM. The briefing will focus on the following issues: (i) the current human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian Territory, (ii) legal developments at the international level (International Criminal Courts and International Court of Justice) and (iii) state responsibility including Denmark's international obligations.
