On February 23, 2026, Ukraine House in Denmark opens its new exhibition “Voices of Dignity: Literature of Resistance” — an exploration of how Ukrainian literature has functioned not only as art, but as an act of resistance across the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. It is a tribute to the Ukrainian literary voices who were persecuted or silenced under imperial and totalitarian regimes, those who were killed as a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion, and those who continue to write under the conditions of war.

Den 22. februar 2026 inviterer Ukraine House in Denmark, Dansk Kulturinstitut og Det Ny Teater til ”Ukrainske Stemmer – historier om frihed”, en solidaritetsaften for Ukraine på tærsklen til fireåret for Ruslands fuldskalainvasion. På scenen kan bl.a. opleves den ukrainske nobelprismodtager Oleksandra Matviichuk, den danske verdensstjerne Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Bodil Jørgensen, Ellen Hillingsø, Christine Albeck Børge, et 26 personers stort kammerorkester, samt en række ukrainske kunstnere.

On February 22, 2026, Ukraine House in Denmark, the Danish Cultural Institute and Det Ny Teater invite you to “Ukrainian Voices – Stories of Freedom”, a solidarity evening for Ukraine on the eve of the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion. On stage, you can experience, among others, the Ukrainian Nobel Prize winner Oleksandra Matviichuk, the Danish world star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Bodil Jørgensen, Ellen Hillingsø, Christine Albeck Børge and a number of Ukrainian artists.

Copenhagen, 23 December 2025 — Ukraine House in Denmark (UHD) and Spilne Art strongly condemn the vandalism of outdoor sculptures from the exhibition “My Body Is a Battlefield. Copenhagen” by Ukrainian artist Mariia Kulykivska. The exhibition, organised by Spilne Art in cooperation with Ukraine House in Denmark, was vandalised in broad daylight on 22 December 2025 near the premises of UHD.

On December 5, Ukraine House in Denmark, together with the Danish Foreign Policy Society, organized a panel discussion on nuclear security and its implications in the face of the Russian war against Ukraine and the free world. Leading experts examined how Ukraine’s denuclearization, Russia’s nuclear coercion, and the occupation of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) have transformed nuclear risk from an abstract threat into a daily geopolitical reality with global consequences.

In her speech during the Open World Conference 2025, organized by the University of Copenhagen to discuss the contemporary relevance of Niels Bohr's historic letter to the United Nations about the principles of openness in global science in the 1950s, Nataliia Popovych gave a sobering account about why openness towards an unreformed empire both in the 20th and, even more so, in the 21st century is dangerous.

On November 18, an open-air exhibition by Ukrainian artist Mariia Kulykivska — a continuation of her long-term project “My Body is a Battlefield” — opened along the Copenhagen waterfront. The event was organized by the contemporary art platform Spilne Art in cooperation with the Ukraine House in Denmark.

Ukraine House in Denmark, in collaboration with Spilne Art, presents a new chapter of Ukrainian artist Mariia Kulykivska’s long-term project — My Body is a Battlefield. Copenhagen. The open-air installation at the waterfront, located near Ukraine House, will run from November 18 to December 26.

November 29, 2025 — February 1, 2026 Ukraine House in Denmark invites residents and guests of Copenhagen to experience the warmth and magic of Ukrainian Christmas at the exhibition “Coming Home for Christmas”.

Arrangementet samlede internationale eksperter, beslutningstagere og ledelsesrepræsentanter for civilsamfundet til en drøftelse af Ruslands imperiale tilbagegang og nødvendigheden af at forberede sig på dens konsekvenser. The event brought together international experts, policymakers, and civil society leaders to examine Russia’s imperial decline and the urgent need to prepare for its consequences. Moderated by Nataliia Popovych, Chairperson of Ukraine House in Denmark, the panel featured Charlotte Flindt Pedersen (Danish Foreign Policy Society), Jacob Kaarsbo (Intelligence and Security Analyst), Juraj Mesík (Slovak Foreign Policy Association), Yaroslav Yurchyshyn (Member of the Ukrainian Parliament), Oleg Magaletskyi (Free Nations of Post-Russia Forum), and Mette Skak (Scholar on Russian foreign and security policy).

Copenhagen, Denmark – On 5 September, Ukraine House in Denmark was honored to host Myroslav Marynovych, a keystone dissident, co-founder of the Ukrainian Helsinki Group, Gulag survivor, and Vice-Rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University. The event shone a light on the courage of Ukraine’s human rights defenders in the 1960s and 70s, a generation that resisted the Soviet totalitarian machine when almost no one believed it was possible.

Copenhagen, Denmark — August 22, 2025. At Ukraine House in Denmark, soldiers, engineers, and policymakers gathered to share the lessons of a war where milltech drones and robots, and artificial intelligence have moved from theory to daily reality in Ukraine. Organized by the Defence Robotics, a charity foundation, the discussion brought together Oleksandr Yabchanka, Head of the Robotic Systems Service of the Da Vinci Wolves battalion, alongside innovators from companies Frontline and Tencore, two of Ukraine’s leading developers of ground robotic platforms.

Copenhagen, August 21, 2025 – Ukraine House in Denmark proudly opened “Uncurtained: Ukrainian Art in Danish Collections 1989–2023”, its 11th major exhibition and a landmark research project tracing 35 years of cultural exchange between Denmark and Ukraine. Curated by Kateryna Stukalova, the exhibition brings together over 100 works by 28 Ukrainian artists. In her opening remarks Nataliia Popovych, chairperson of Ukraine House in Denmark, emphasized: “Uncurtained is not just an exhibition — it is a journey through thirty-five years of trust, of Ukrainian art being seen, collected, and preserved in Denmark. Long before the world spoke of the ‘Danish model’ of support for Ukraine, Danish curators, collectors, and institutions chose to trust in Ukrainian creativity — to see our culture as sovereign and distinct. En musikalsk hyldest til Ukraines uafhængighedsdag — klange og melodier, der har formet nationen siden genoprettelsen af dens frihed og suverænitet i 1991. Programmet rummer værker af de anerkendte, nutidige ukrainske komponister Valentyn Sylvestrov, Victoria Poleva og Serhiy Zazhytko, side om side med en talentfuld ny generation: Roman Grygoriv, Serhiy Vilka, Andriy Merkhel og Yana Shlyabanska. Den ukrainske musik suppleres af værker af de danske komponister Per Nørgård og Carl Nielsen, som understreger de kulturelle bånd mellem Ukraine og Danmark. En del af koncerten er "A Musical Tribute to Ukrainian Independence" — et lyrisk potpourri af ikoniske ukrainske sange, der følger nationens kulturelle rejse fra begyndelsen af 1990’erne til i dag.

August 21 – November 23, 2025 Curated by Kateryna Stukalova Ukraine House in Denmark is proud to present “Uncurtained: Ukrainian Art in Danish Collections 1989–2023”, a landmark exhibition and major research project exploring the rich, yet often overlooked, history of Danish-Ukrainian cultural relations. Through the lens of Ukrainian artworks acquired by private, public, and corporate Danish collections over the past three and a half decades, Uncurtained offers a unique perspective on the artistic and historical ties between the two nations and proves that current strong Danish support for Ukraine is not a recent development.

Ukraine House in Denmark hosted Ukrainian civic strategist Yevhen Hlibovytskyi for a critical examination of how Ukraine is surviving the war—and what its experience reveals about the future of governance, democracy, and resilience in the 21st century. The event took place on June 24.
