Bellagroup, comprising Bella Center Copenhagen, Bella Arena, Copenhagen Marriott Hotel, AC Hotel Bella Sky og Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers, has reached a significant milestone in its sustainability journey: an official approval of the company’s climate targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). This places Bellagroup among an exclusive group of companies in the hospitality sector that have had their CO2e reduction targets validated according to the strictest scientific standards.

Copenhagen Gaming Week debuted in January 2024, and just one year later, the festival can rightfully call itself Denmark’s fastest-growing event for gaming and broader gaming culture. The expectation was up to 20,000 visitors, but reality exceeded the dream, with a total of 23,000 gaming enthusiasts gathering at Bella Center Copenhagen from February 13th to 15th.

Copenhagen and Denmark are now attracting so many tech talents, entrepreneurs, and investors that Scandinavia's largest tech and startup event, TechBBQ, anticipates solid growth in the coming years. TechBBQ has agreed with Bella Center Copenhagen to host an event with 10,000 participants in 2025. The long-term goal is to transform Denmark and the Nordics into an entrepreneurial hub.

Despite a busy year, Bellagroup broadened its sustainability focus in 2023. The hospitality company is now a quarter of the way towards being net zero by 2050 after just four years. Simultaneously Bellagroup has implemented new climate measurement initiatives and secured a certification within several ISO standards. Now a B Corp certification process awaits along with efforts to involve customers and suppliers more deeply in the company’s ESG initiatives.

From January 12th to 14th, 12,500 people attended the inaugural edition of Denmark's new recurring gaming and esports festival. With strong support from the industry, politicians, and gaming enthusiasts, efforts are now underway to further develop and strengthen Copenhagen Gaming Week in the coming years. With a 2-0 victory the Danish Counter-Strike stars clinched the trophy and soared to top podium placement in the grand finale of Copenhagen Gaming Week at Bella Arena, organized in collaboration with BLAST. The debate surrounding a potential shift in the dates of the SS edition of Copenhagen Fashion Week should now be replaced with a period of stability and assurance for as many industry stakeholders as possible. This is the clear message from Copenhagen Fashion Week, Danish Fashion & Textile, WEAR, and CIFF x Revolver, who, based on cross-sector surveys, jointly declare: Fashion Week will not be moved to week 26 but continue to take place in August for the next three years.

January 12th to 14th, 2024, Copenhagen Gaming Week will become a reality. Several years of development culminate in a three-day festival where all aspects, genres, and subcultures of gaming and esports convene at Bella Arena and Bella Center Copenhagen. The goal is to position Copenhagen and Denmark on the global stage, and over time, the event is expected to expand for the benefit of the entire city and industry.

It is no secret that any fashion week can feel exclusive to the broader population not provided with coveted guest list spots or gilded runway invitations. However, fashion is for everyone, and it embodies both artistry and commerce. With this in mind, CIFF once again opens its doors to a grand dreamland of a fashion show on Monday, August 7th, at Bella Arena in Copenhagen, featuring mini-concerts with Oh Land and Emil Kruse. The first combined CIFF x Revolver show takes place at The Bella Center Copenhagen from August 9-11 under their vision for One Copenhagen, blending their rosters to curate over 800 fashion brands across 20,000sqm of floorspace.
