WALTON
Walton, a real estate investment and land asset management company with US $3.39 billion under management, is pleased to announce a significant distribution to investors totaling CAD $40.5 million. The distribution was approved on March 16, 2021 by the Walton-managed Roll-Up Corporation (RUC). The distribution will be paid to shareholders of RUC on April 8, 2021.
RUC was formed through the amalgamation of 134 Canadian pre-development land entities and has more than 27,000 shareholders. The Corporation collectively owns an interest in 21,533 acres of pre-development land in key growth markets throughout the United States and Canada. This is the second distribution made to investors in RUC, with this distribution representing $0.60 per share.
RUC investors have received a total of CAD $48.8 million in distributions. To date, the two distributions equal $0.71 per share and represents an approximate 8.4% per share percentage distribution based on the most recent per share price of $8.46.
Strong market activity and progress on the monetization of RUC’s assets over the past several years, specifically in 2020, contributed to this distribution. The 2021 outlook is projected to be quite successful in terms of exit activity and further monetization of assets as RUC continues to execute on its goals. Currently, RUC has approximately CAD $71.3 million in deals under contract and an additional CAD $61.6 million in negotiated, but not yet executed sale and/or option agreements.
