VertigGIS, en førende udbyder og softwareudvikler af geografiske informationssystemer (GIS), har gennemført erhvervelsen af 100 % af EDP Consult AB, en etableret leverandør af software og services med base i Staffanstorp i Sverige.

VertiGIS støttes af et globalt investeringsselskab med fokus på teknologi, Battery Ventures, der i 2017 begyndte at erhverve softwarevirksomheder inden for GIS- og positionsteknologi under sit varemærke.
EDP, der er bedst kendt for produkterne EDP Future, EDP Mobile og EDP Vision, udvikler og leverer software til svenske kommuner. Virksomhedens teknologi håndterer specifikt kundens udfordringer inden for vand og affald, fjernvarme, leje og generel fakturering samt sagsovervågning og dokumentstyring for alle dele af den offentlige administration, offentlige styrelser og virksomheder.
