Partnership Between Zaiput Flow Technologies and ThalesNano Set to Improve Process Intensification
BUDAPEST, Hungary and WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Zaiput Flow Technologies, a global leader in separation, and ThalesNano, the world leader in bench-top flow chemistry reactors, recently signed a distribution agreement and entered into a technology partnership that exploits the benefits of their combined technologies.
Under the distribution Zaiput liquid-liquid phase separators and back pressure regulators are available via ThalesNano in Europe and a number of other countries on a non-exclusive basis, either separately or as part of a bundled offering with ThalesNano’s own microflow reactors.
Within the framework of the technology partnership the companies will collaborate to promote adoption of the combined use of their technologies.
“We are very excited to work with ThalesNano to offer better-integrated flow chemistry systems to our customers and streamline the work of both novice and experienced users in the flow chemistry space, ” said Zaiput CEO, Dr. Andrea Adamo.
By working closely together, ThalesNano and Zaiput aim to offer comprehensive solutions to chemists who are interested in improving process output or in telescoping additional process steps. Greater process integration is key to increase efficiency and streamline operations saving time and effort. The collaboration will explore a range of applications for the combined technologies from small scale research situations through to scale up into pilot and production phases. In addition, both Zaiput and ThalesNano are proactively involved in the exploration of chemistry in Space which bodes further innovative opportunities.
“The flow chemistry market has come to a point where we will see increased collaboration between technology providers, of which this is one. Zaiput’s technology shows excellent improvements in process efficiency, this partnership will realise those opportunities through practical experimentation on our instruments. This will benefit both our companies and, more importantly our customers, ” commented Dr Darvas Ferenc, President of ThalesNano.
Zaiput Flow Technologies is a leading manufacturer of proprietary scalable technology that enables liquid-liquid and liquid-gas separation for continuous manufacturing and addresses critical bottlenecks in batch liquid-liquid extraction. Zaiput’s modular solutions allows users ranging from Pharma to Fine/Specialty chemicals to go seamless and quickly from bench to production and for both single and multistage operation.
About ThalesNano: ThalesNano has the widest portfolio of bench-top continuous process instruments for the pharmaceutical, biotech, fine chemical, flavour and fragrance, petroleum/biofuel, and education markets. Its R&D 100 award winning H-Cube® and technologies based on this innovation are used in hundreds of laboratories globally and have become the new industry standard for hydrogenation. Over the years ThalesNano has developed reactors to cover a wide range of chemical space in terms of both pressure and temperature and actively promotes the adoption of flow chemistry.
