Record-breaking output from Re-Match’s Danish Factory
Herning, Denmark, 17 January 2022 – Re-Match Holding A/S, a pioneer within sustainable recycling of artificial turf, increases production year-on-year, thereby affirming management’s confidence in the projected output of the company’s planned new factories.
In 2021, Re-Match, recycled approx. 26.000 tonnes of material, which is 22% more than in 2020. This represents a record production tonnage for the Danish factory in Herning, derived from increased uptime of 15% and a direct 7% year-on-year factory line efficiency improvement. The 2021 production levels are now consistently above efficiency expectations for the coming factories, and drives comfort that the next wave of factories can deliver as planned.
The production result also marks an important environmental milestone, with the company accumulated having recycled plastic turf fibers, equivalent to more than half a billion plastic bags since the factory in Herning became operational in 2016.
Nikolaj Magne Larsen, CEO and co-founder of Re-Match, said:
“We are extremely pleased with the result from 2021. One thing is that we are breaking a record for our factory in Herning – but even more importantly, it shows us that we are on track with regards to the estimated output of the next factories that we are in the process of establishing in the Netherlands, France and Pennsylvania.”
