AlwaysOnline Wireless Announces Expansion of 4G LTE Network to 74 Countries Offering Its Global Data Plans to More iPad Users Around the World
SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - October 03, 2016) - AlwaysOnline Wireless (operated by Otono Networks Inc) today announced that it will be expanding its market-leading 'LTE-On-Demand' service for users of select iPad Wi-Fi + Cellular models¹ into 29 new countries, bringing its total number of countries covered to 74.
The new countries are: Albania, Antigua & Barbuda, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Cayman Islands, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Guam, Iceland, Jersey, Kenya, Kuwait, Macau, Malta, Mauritius, Moldova, Montenegro, Oman, Peru, Qatar, Serbia, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Turkey, Turks & Caicos Islands, and the United States.
AOW offers daily and hourly data service to iPad users, with on-demand plans starting at one hour for 99 cents, providing the flexibility and convenience that travelers require. Also available are high value plans for high usage customers like a 3GB data plan valid for 15 days.
To buy one of AOW's plans, customers simply go to the Settings app on their Apple SIM-enabled iPad and choose from one of the plan options right from their device -- no more hassle of finding and buying a local SIM at a kiosk or carrier store.
"Travelers today need access to high-speed data everywhere they go. Relying on expensive or insecure Wi-Fi networks doesn't cut it anymore," said Emir Aboulhosn, CEO and Founder of Otono. "Today's announcement means that our short-term data plans are available to more travelers in more countries, and we are expecting to add even more countries to our network very soon."
¹The 9.7-inch iPad Pro, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 3 and iPad mini 4 Wi-Fi + Cellular models are compatible with Apple SIM and all deliver ultra-fast wireless connectivity with support for a wide range of LTE bands and other fast cellular network technologies (DCHSDPA, HSPA+). Apple SIM is configured in Wi-Fi + Cellular models in the U.S. and U.K. and is available for individual purchase at Apple Retail Stores in 14 countries: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the U.S.
