Mette Seifert becomes new CIO of DEAS Group
26.8.2021 11:30:01 CEST | PHM Danmark | Press release

DEAS Group, consisting of DEAS A/S and DEAS Asset Management A/S, has over the last years transformed from a Danish property management company to a Nordic full-service partner to property investors.
Now another important step is being taken on the journey, with the appointment of Mette Seifert as the new CIO of DEAS Group. Mette Seifert will contribute to supporting investment strategies and creating strong results for the company’s institutional investors via DEAS’ strong pan-Nordic platform and network.
“I’m thrilled to have Mette join our team. She is among the very best in asset and investment management, brings international expertise and a strong track record in the Nordic property market. Mette will contribute to DEAS Group’s overall ambition to strengthen our Nordic profile and offer value to our current and future clients,” says Rikke Lykke, Group CEO of DEAS.
Strong results for clients
Mette Seifert is a well-known profile within the real estate industry. She contributed to build M7 Real Estate in Denmark, where until recently she was CEO and partner. She was responsible for the company’s Nordic activities with a focus on value-add investments in multi-user properties within the industrial and logistics segments, in particular. Mette Seifert also worked for Aberdeen Asset Management for six years, most recently as fund manager.
“It’s an exciting role that offers a unique opportunity to help set the focus and create results for clients at the Nordic level. I look forward to working with DEAS’ Danish institutional investors and their portfolios, and working again with several property segments such as residential and offices,” says Mette Seifert, CIO of DEAS Group.
Mette Seifert joins on 30 August 2021, taking the helm from Benny Buchardt Andersen, who has been CEO of DEAS Asset Management A/S since 2018 and is now leaving the company.
“I would like to thank Benny for his hard work building DEAS Asset Management and a strong and ambitious team. Most recently, he has been part of the central team that helped us enter the Nordic market with the acquisition of Aberdeen Standard Investments’ Nordic property activities,” adds Rikke Lykke.
