Patton Electronics —US manufacturer of UC, cloud, and IoT enabling solutions for carrier, enterprise and industrial networks—is now shipping the SmartNode OpenScape Business Appliance (SN-OSB).
Developed in partnership with Unify , Patton’s SN-OSB, offers small-to-medium businesses (SMBs) a one-box unified communications (UC) solution for up to 1,000 users that is fast and easy to implement.
While many smaller companies have been reluctant to make the transition to Unified Communications, Patton and Unify offer a solution that makes it fast and easy for the information technology (IT) staff of SMBs to implement an All-IP solution.
“Demand is pretty hot for this product,” said Miklos Szabo, product manager for the SN-OSB. “There’s already a significant backlog. So we encourage interested partners to order early to ensure timely fulfillment.”
>>For questions or additional information contact the product manager…
The SN-OSB appliance combines Patton’s SmartNode VoIP-gateway technology and hardware manufacturing expertise with Unify’s OpenScape Business S unified communications software to offer an affordable, state-of-the art UC solution for SMBs in a single device.
OpenScape Business S—the new-generation Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC) software from Unify (which combines the best of HiPath 3000 and OpenScape Office and plays well with OpenStage IP phones) comes factory-installed and ready to go.
Unlike most UC appliances, the SN-OSB offers built-in telephony interfaces (PRI, BRI, FXS, and FXO) that connect legacy devices with All-IP UCC services, while supporting SIP Trunks, TDM Trunks and TDM or dual-SIP survivability with assured interoperability among all systems.
The one-box UCC solution from Patton and Unify is based on Patton’s SmartNode Open Gateway Appliance (SNOGA) hardware platform, which is able to integrate any existing analog, PBX, digital PBX, or DECT phone system with all SIP-based devices and UCC services.
For companies needing a VoIP-gateway solution for their OpenScape implementation, Unify has certified SmartNode VoIP gateways, IADs, and eSBCs for interoperability with its OpenScape Business software.
In related news, Novum Networks is now rolling out its business-class NBN service (based on Broadsoft BroadWorks hosted telephony) that features Patton’s SmartNode VoIP products as CPE solutions.
