Elevaate Congratulates Iceland Foods on Being ‘Surprise Victor’ in Which? Report “Top Supermarkets for Online Shopping.”
Elevaate, the agile product placement platform that helps businesses scale trade funded activity online, today congratulated partner Iceland Foods on being recognised as the top supermarket for online shopping in the UK by Which?, the independent Consumer Association authority.
Which? surveyed over 7,000 members of the public about their online shopping experiences, and focused on responses to only the supermarkets they had direct experience of. The report concludes “For online supermarkets, Iceland is the surprise victor. The frozen-food specialist earned the highest score among online supermarkets for the first time, with 77%. Its relatively new online service, which launched in May 2013, edged out more experienced rivals Waitrose and Ocado from the top spot.”
Iceland Founder and Chief Executive Malcolm Walker said “We are thrilled to have received this huge accolade from such a discerning publication as Which? Since we relaunched online in 2013 our service has grown rapidly thanks to our easy-to-use website, great products and brilliant people – and we now make around nine million home deliveries every year.”
“We’ve been working with the Iceland team since April of last year” said Simon Harrow, Elevaate CEO. “It’s fantastic to see the Iceland team being recognised for the quality of their online shopper experience.”
Ken Platt, COO Elevaate, added “The dedicated Elevaate Customer Success Managers have been working hard with the Iceland team for some time to transform the speed, agility and insight with which the retailer can place products across its website.” Mr Platt concluded “This is well deserved recognition for the Iceland online team, particularly since it’s based on direct customer experiences.”
Iceland is recognised as a leader in frozen food with over 860 stores in the UK. The company prides itself on being a convenient and friendly place to do the family’s weekly shop, whether that’s in-store or online. With the Power of Frozen at its heart, Iceland naturally generates low levels of food waste. It has been in the top ten of The Sunday Times Best Big Companies to Work For every year since 2010, being placed first in 2012 and 2014.
