MessageBird, verdens ledende omnichannel cloud communications-platform, annoncerer i dag afslutningen på en ny $200 mio. Serie C-runde anført af Silicon Valley’s Spark Capital med en værdiansættelse på $3 mia. og med deltagelse af Bonnier, Glynn Capital, LGT Lightstone, Longbow, Mousse Partners og New View Capital. Som en del af denne investering vil Spark Capital General Partner Will Reed blive en del af MessageBirds bestyrelse. Denne seneste investering, som blev rejst på afstand under lockdown’en, kommer efter en stigende global efterspørgsel på en lang række ”messaging-first” kundekommunikations-værktøjer på tværs af mange flere kanaler, i takt med at virksomheder verden rundt kæmper med at håndtere skiftet fra kundeservice i en fysisk butik og call centre-baseret kundeservice til en arbejdsstyrke, der arbejder 100% hjemmefra og til salg, der kun foregår online. Dette har accelereret MessageBirds udvikling fra at være en ren Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS)-virksomhed til at blive verdens første og eneste Omnichannel Platform as a Service (OPaaS)-virksomhed. Investeringen vil blive brugt til at tredoble størrelsen på MessageBirds globale team og udvide yderligere på virksomhedens kernemarkeder i Europa, Asien og Latinamerika samtidig med, at den lancerer en “Work from Anywhere”-politik.
