What’s BLUETTI EP600?
This modular battery system consists of a solar generator - EP600 and one (note: assuming it can work with one?) or more compatible expansion batteries - B500. By storing sufficient power within the batteries, EP600 is a viable alternative to utility provided electrical services aiming to reduce or eliminate your reliance on the utility electrical grid, make electricity more affordable, and get well-prepared for unexpected blackouts, emergencies, and other disasters.
How does the EP600 work?
Once the sunlight falls on the solar panels, the converter within the solar generator converts the solar panels’ direct current (DC) electricity into alternating current (AC), which can be fed into the power grid or juice up power-hungry devices directly. Also, you can store the surplus energy for future use or sell it to the power company to reduce or eliminate any power bills.
Does the EP600 require solar panels?
To make it short, NO. Though EP600 prioritizes solar charging, it can be recharged via utility or clean generator AC input as well even without any solar panels plugged in. Topping up EP600 with lower-price off-peak grid power can also effectively realize energy load shifting to reduce your monthly bills.
Can I install it by myself? How much is BLUETTI on-site installation service?
Professional installation is required. We’ll evaluate based on your house conditions and draw up an initial installation plan beforehand. The installation process needs to be performed by a licensed electrician for the sake of your security. The service fees usually cost between €1500~2500 and may vary due to different installers and other factors. if you'd like more certainty, you may purchase the installation-included option on Bluetti’s official website, with an €1500 added fee for a total of €11499, BLUETTI will cover any installation related business for you inside Germany.
