Alpega Appoints Frans van Buuren as Chief Human Resources Officer

Alpega Group, a leading global provider of SaaS cloud-based transportation software, announced that Frans van Buuren has joined Alpega to lead a strategic build-out of talent across the organization.

Mr. van Buuren brings more than 25 years of experience in the domain of Human Resources, working for highly regarded companies, including Exela Technologies, Stryker Corporation, and Xerox Corporation. Frans was one of the early builders of Cisco’s European workforce in the ‘90s. As a common thread throughout his previous roles, he consistently moved the HR function from a purely tactical administrative support function to a strategic HR business partner role and acted as a change agent for the entire organization.

“Winning the battle for talent is crucial to maintain the growth path Alpega and the SCM market are currently experiencing. We were looking to augment our leadership team with a proven leader who has seen success in transforming how we think about attracting and retaining the best talent in the market,” said Todd DeLaughter, Group CEO for Alpega.

“The pandemic and the current macro-economic challenges have boosted the digitization of supply chain management, which historically was an underinvested domain for many companies. The transportation market where Alpega plays is accelerating in growth, with some analysts projecting CAGRs of up to 20% for the coming 5 years. Alpega is positioned to take advantage of this new wave of market growth, and Frans will help us further build the team to do it.” continued DeLaughter.

“I am impressed with how Alpega made the transition into a Digital Freight platform and how Alpega can make a tangible difference for many companies in their drive towards sustainable mobility. More than ever, people want to work for companies with a true purpose and the ability to improve the world we are living in daily. I’m thrilled to be joining this very talented team and look forward to our journey to further build a great company.” said Frans van Buuren.
