BALTIMORE, MD--(Marketwired - Apr 21, 2016) - Algeco/Scotsman Holding S.à r.l. (together with its subsidiaries, "Algeco Scotsman") today announced that on April 20, 2016 its subsidiary, Williams Scotsman International, Inc. (the "Company"), and Modular Space Corporation ("ModSpace") each received a supplementary information request ("SIR") from the Canadian Competition Bureau ("CCB") with respect to the previously announced proposed merger of the North American modular space operations of ModSpace and the Company. The SIR from the CCB is part of the normal course regulatory process under the Competition Act, R.S.C., 1985, c. C-34, as amended (the "Act"), and was anticipated by the Company. The SIR extends the waiting period imposed by the Act until 30 days after the parties have complied with the SIR unless that period is extended voluntarily by the parties or terminated sooner by the CCB. The Company intends to respond expeditiously to this request and to continue to work cooperatively with the CCB in connection with this review. The Company continues to expect the transaction to close by the second or third calendar quarter of 2016. Completion of the transaction remains subject to the expiration or termination of the waiting period under the Act, financing, and other customary closing conditions.
