Smilegate Entertainment has officially revealed ‘CFS 2016’ (CROSSFIRE STARS 2016) Grand Finals schedule and CFS 2016’s new BI/poster for the game CROSSFIRE, the number 1 online FPS game in the world.
This year, CFS 2016 GF will take place in Suzhou, China, from December 2nd to December 4th . Total prize pool tripled from last year, totaling $700,000, in which $400,000 is set aside for the Grand Finals. National Finals (NF) will take place in 11 regions around the world during July to October, and the regional winner team from each NF will fight for the championship in Suzhou, China.
12 NF winner teams will be divided into 3 groups and play in a Double Elimination format. From Quarterfinals, teams will play in a Single Elimination format.
Smilegate also revealed CFS 2016 BI and poster, designed around a star. Each triangle fragments in the star are based on Smilegate’s triangle CI, and they symbolize players participating in 11 NF around the world. A separate fragment in the right side of the star symbolizes representatives from the NF who will battle for the championship in the GF.
Now in its 5th year, CFS is the highest level of competitive play for CROSSFIRE, the No. 1 FPS game in the world reaching 6 million concurrent users and 500 million registered players. Last year’s CFS in Guangzhou, China was broadcasted live in English, Chinese, Portuguese, etc. Additionally, it was dual live streamed in Vietnam, Russia, and Latin America. CFS 2015 featured dual stage display and provided a theatrical experience to the audience, which was met with great enthusiasm.
