Munich's Innovation-Friendly Culture, Creative Talent and Trend Setting Risk-Takers Make It the Perfect Location for the New Cogniance Design Studio
MUNICH, GERMANY--(Marketwired - June 10, 2016) - Munich, known best for its beautiful architecture and fine culture, also houses an innovation-friendly climate that has allowed startups and global corporations to flourish, making it the perfect home for an expanded design studio that will serve as a significant design hub for the global technology firm Cogniance .
"We see Munich as a perfect expansion location to help shoulder the increasing demand for product ideation, UX/UI and industrial design services. Plus, Munich has been a great home for us." says CEO Michael Shraybman .
The Munich studio will serve as a major design hub for the company, supporting both local and global design projects. Led by award winning and highly acclaimed design directors Matthias Schmiedbauer and Manuel Gattinger, the Munich team will co-create with innovative companies around the world in the connected car, IoT, and consumer products industries to design products that change how people live, work and play.
The Bavarian capital has proven to be the perfect location for the Cogniance design team. "Munich is a great fit for our design studio," said Juha Christensen , Founder & Chairman of Cogniance. "The high concentration of tech companies and vibrant startup culture aligns perfectly with our unique blend of design and technology co-creation capabilities. Our customers are at the forefront of technological innovation, and our global design studios and delivery centers provide them with the knowledge and expertise that keep them there."
Kim Soerensen, Cogniance Director of Design Business, quickly recognized the need for a larger studio. "We outgrew our first Munich office in just one year," he said. "Our new design studio is truly world class, and it offers us a longer runway to allow for future growth. It also creates jobs and allows us to contribute to the growing innovation community [in Munich]." Soerensen adds, "Plus, Cogniance is well known for hosting entrepreneurial meet-ups and considers hospitality to be a core component of our brand."
True to that fashion, Cogniance is hosting an open house allowing clients and executives to tour the new space and learn more about the company's innovative projects as well as the cutting-edge design trends that are shaping people's lives. They will have the opportunity to meet Cogniance founder Juha Christensen, Michael Shraybman, CEO of Cogniance, as well as the Munich design team. They'll also be able to network with some of the industry's most creative and forward-thinking designers, investors, technologists, influencers and executives.
Cogniance believes there is more to product design than designing a product. It starts with an intimate understanding of user, problem and business solution. Blending passionate problem solving, uncommon creativity and pragmatic co-creation, Cogniance fuels innovation globally for startups and large enterprises alike.
Founder and Chairman Juha Christensen is a serial entrepreneur with a remarkable track record in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Building mobile operating systems during his early career, he founded Symbian, went on to lead the charge of Microsoft's early Smartphone and Pocket PC efforts, ran part of Macromedia, helped build Teleca into the largest System Integrator in the mobile industry, and worked on popularizing Trolltech and Qt.
