Sam Maccherola Named EVP of Global Sales at AccessData

Experienced Sales Exec to Head Up Worldwide Sales Organization Across Entire Software Portfolio

LINDON, UT--(Marketwired - March 22, 2016) -   AccessData Group, a leading provider of integrated digital forensics and e-discovery software, today announced that industry veteran Samuel Maccherola has been appointed as executive vice president for worldwide sales.

"Sam is a proven executive who has built and managed high-value sales teams in both of our key industry markets, has worked in both the U.S. and Europe, and has experience working with customers in both the public and private sectors," said Keith James, CEO of AccessData.

James previously held the position that Maccherola now fills and has been searching worldwide for his successor over the course of the past several months. Maccherola will be responsible for AccessData's overall sales strategy and will manage the day-to-day activities of the company's global sales force across the product portfolio. AccessData employs sales professionals in North America, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific regions.

Maccherola comes to AccessData from Guidance Software, another leading player in the digital forensics and e-discovery software industry, where he was most recently vice president of sales for the Eastern U.S. and Public Sector operations, and previously served as vice president of international sales. Prior to joining Guidance, he held a number of senior executive positions, including senior vice president of worldwide sales at Simdesk Technologies in Texas, vice president of sales at Prosight, Inc. in Virginia, and president of Tenix Datagate, Inc. in Virginia.

Overall, Maccherola has more than 15 years of experience in Information Technology and Cybersecurity product sales, with an emphasis on endpoint security and incident response. In addition to his work in the U.S., he has managed international sales efforts in Japan, France, Germany, UK, Latin America, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Korea and the Middle East. His customer-first approach led him to a "Federal 100" award that recognizes the top 100 people who made an impact on Government and Industry.

Maccherola attended Towson State University. He is also a four-time IRONMAN and has competed in the 70.3 IRONMAN World Championship in Las Vegas.
