8.2.2016 11:01:41 CET | Business Wire | Press release
Netherlands-based engineering consultancy firm Witteveen+Bos and international software company BST Global solidified a historic partnership this January.
Following an extensive evaluation process, Witteveen+Bos has selected BST Global as its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution provider, making the engineering consultancy the first Netherlands-based firm to implement the software company’s flagship product, BST10 . Witteveen+Bos represents one of the top 10 engineering consultancies in the Netherlands, according to the 2015 Technisch Weekblad Top 50 Ingenieursbureaus rankings.
“We met with a number of other ERP software providers, but were ultimately impressed by BST Global’s focus on the engineering industry,” said Witteveen+Bos Chief Executive Officer Karin Sluis. “Finding a partner that understands how our industry, and our company, works was of utmost importance to us – and we clearly found this with BST.”
By moving to BST10, the engineering consultancy aims to improve efficiencies company-wide and increase project and financial visibility through the use of dashboards. The firm also sought a solution that could provide the flexibility needed to support its international expansion strategy and ability to work in joint ventures to serve its clients worldwide.
“We are very excited about the future direction of BST10. In a constantly evolving market, it is important to find a partner that can not only keep up, but also lead,” said Witteveen+Bos Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Hinnen. “That’s what BST Global does. They listen to their clients’ needs, and work continuously to develop and improve their product to meet those needs, which ensures our company never falls behind.”
Representatives from the two companies gathered together for a signing ceremony at the Witteveen+Bos headquarters on 19 January to formalize the new partnership.
“Witteveen+Bos is exactly the type of partner that we hoped to find when we entered the Netherlands market,” said Coskun Tuzgol, BST Global Regional Director of Europe. “Although our businesses are quite different, we found that our cultural values, and the way we do business, are quite the same.”
During the ceremony, BST Global Executive President Javier Baldor expressed the honor that the software company felt to have the Witteveen+Bos team place its confidence and trust in BST as its ERP solution provider.
“With Witteveen+Bos, we believe that we have not only found a respected industry leader, but also a strategic partner,” Baldor said. “We look forward to building a long-standing partnership with Witteveen+Bos for many years to come.”
Witteveen+Bos now joins an extensive group of engineering consultancies – like IBI Group , KPFF Consulting Engineers , and RSP Architects Planners & Engineers – that have partnered with BST Global for their business management software solution needs. Low AI fluency, uneven adoption, and marginal productivity gains are limiting enterprise-scale impact According to Forrester’s (Nasdaq: FORR) latest report, Accelerate Your AI Voyage, most enterprises are struggling to turn growing AI adoption and investment into measurable business impact. One of the key factors holding businesses back is low artificial intelligence quotient (AIQ) — Forrester’s measure of AI aptitude — with many employees lacking a clear understanding of how to use AI. Other barriers include an overemphasis on productivity-focused use cases, difficulty measuring impact, and siloed adoption within individual functions. While these challenges can leave firms frozen in doubt or indecision, the wait-and-see approach to AI adoption is no longer viable. To unlock AI’s full potential, organizations need to focus on four key areas: Define the business outcomes and success metrics for what they want AI to achieve; identify specific use cases for AI deployment aligned to those
