MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwired - Dec 1, 2015) - Tintri , a leading producer of VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualization and cloud environments, today announced it has achieved an annualized revenue run rate of $100 million and 100% year-over-year revenue growth based on the results from its third fiscal quarter, which ended October 31, 2015. Tintri now has more than 800 enterprise customers, including many customers who have purchased more than $1 million in aggregate products and services, running 500,000 VMs and 50 PB of virtualized workloads.
The company is also announcing its "Simplest Storage, Guaranteed" program, to enable enterprises and cloud service providers to try Tintri for 30 days, achieve industry-leading time to production at less than 60 minutes, and reduce storage operating costs and footprint by 60%. To help the registered customers keep track of the time Tintri saves, they will receive an Apple Watch.
Organizations that participate in the "Simplest Storage, Guaranteed" program will be able to experience the extraordinary benefits Tintri VM-aware storage has brought to customers such as Chevron, GE, NASA, NEC, Time Warner, Toyota, United Healthcare and many others. According to a survey by TechValidate, 99 percent of surveyed users of Tintri VMstore rated Tintri ease-of-use as differentiated or better compared to the competition.
"It just can't be this easy. I've worked in the storage industry for 25 years, and I've never put a storage platform up in 35 minutes, it just doesn't happen. So we used Tintri for a while, seeing how it performed, expecting that it just can't be this simple. But it was."
- Darren Henderson, ICT Manager at SE Trust
"Once we migrated SAP over to Tintri, we just clicked on the database, snapped it, and 15 minutes later our QA team was testing a full copy of our 5TB production environment."
- Andre Potgieter, IT Executive, Ster-Kinekor
"Thanks to Tintri, what used to take 16 rack units to accommodate our performance needs now takes only three rack units, considerably reducing power and cooling needs for our infrastructure. Fifteen minutes with Tintri could save you 60% on your storage costs."
- Scott Zemke, Director of IT, University of Arkansas
A Taneja Group study of Tintri customers shows Tintri dramatically reduced time spent on deployment and provisioning compared to conventional storage. Customers reported up to 52x reduction in time for implementation and 60x decrease in annual management time.
"Everyone in the industry touts simplicity. Who would claim otherwise? But we are so confident that we deliver on our bold promises that we will happily hand over a VMstore for 30 days so organizations can experience firsthand the simplicity, performance, and cost savings," said Yael Zheng, Chief Marketing Officer at Tintri. "This program puts our word on the line -- in our experience, organizations that get hands-on with VM-aware storage for 30 days subtract all the storage complexity from their work, and can't imagine life without it."
The program runs until January 31, 2016, and is open to new Tintri customers with at least 250 VMs and/or 25 terabytes of virtual data. There is a limit of one submission per organization.
