SDS/2 software is unique in that it automates the connection design process by optimizing every joint based on specific code requirements established by each market.

The capability of SDS/2’s connection design extends beyond simply applying connection material in the model. While developing the joint, the system simultaneously evaluates all members framing into the joint in question to ensure its erectability. Design calculations complete with expanded calculations for documentation and printing are also provided. This best-in-class capability, along with localized automatic drawing production, gives users superior productivity.
The SDS/2 model acts as a central database for the steel fabricator. It is a complete source for fabrication data that can be linked to popular MRP products, such as FabTrol, FabSuite, StruM.I.S and others . Integration with shop machinery through DSTV and XML file formats round out the automation offered by SDS/2 for fabricators.
