In response to the strong global demand for specialty Biogums products, CP Kelco today announced plans to invest in building capabilities and expanding production capacity.

As a leading global producer of hydrocolloid solutions used in a wide range of consumer products and industrial applications, CP Kelco is reinforcing its commitment to three Biogums product lines – gellan gum, specialty xanthan gum and diutan gum – through these key operational initiatives:

• Expanding capacity for gellan gum beyond CP Kelco’s existing San Diego, California plant with additional production line capability in the company’s Okmulgee, Oklahoma facility;
• Developing new capabilities for specialty xanthan gum production in the company’s Wulian, China facility;
• Exploring options for further expansion of CP Kelco’s Biogums manufacturing footprint
