Arkoon Netasq, a subsidiary of Airbus Defence and Space and a key player in the European cyber security market, has announced the launch of a new version of its protection solution for workstations and servers, “Stormshield Endpoint Security”. This version, which consists of two new modules – ‘Full Control’ and ‘Full Protect’ – was developed with the aim of providing better protection for workstations, servers and terminals for all organisations targeted by cyber threats. Some of the features offered by Stormshield Endpoint Security Version 7.2 include proactive protection against advanced attacks, the blocking of potentially dangerous behaviour and the monitoring of authorised and non-authorised actions on workstations and servers. The two independent modules, ‘Full Protect’ and ‘Full Control’, are complementary solutions to standard protection systems such as anti-virus.

In an age of hyperconnectivity and mobility, companies find themselves confronted by increasingly targeted and sophisticated attacks. Malicious infection technology exploits unknown weaknesses and uses advanced mechanisms to hide out in the operating system via the workstations, which are now, more than ever, the Achilles’ heel of IT infrastructures. Using malware contained on a USB stick or in an email, hackers are easily able to avoid users’ attention and infect the company’s network.

To respond to these threats, Arkoon Netasq has developed the two autonomous modules ‘Full Control’ and ‘Full Protect’ which make up the new version of the “Stormshield Endpoint Security” solution.

‘Full Protect’ works as a group of security barriers that guarantee the end-to-end protection of servers, workstations and terminals without having to update the software. Thanks to its proactive and highly precise detection engine, it identifies malware via behavioural analysis and protects companies against the malicious exploitation of vulnerabilities in the operating system or workstation applications. This module supports all new operating systems and brings significant improvements to the application monitoring feature.

‘Full Control’ enables IT teams to rigorously monitor authorised and unauthorised actions on workstations, servers and all types of terminals (point of sale, industrial systems) in the Windows environment. This module can also be used to automatically activate digital security policies that take into account the number of users, their location, the nature and conformity of the equipment and the types of connections.
