Edinburgh-based technology firm Intelligent Point of Sale saw its customer base grow by 200% in 2014. With its full featured, cloud-based POS intelligentpos app, the company has developed electronic POS technology specifically to meet the needs of retail and hospitality merchants. The company is currently developing licensing plans which will see its business model replicated throughout Europe.
PowaPOS is the first point of sale platform purpose built for tablet-based payments. As the only fully integrated design that incorporates all common retail peripherals, it features a built in thermal printer, 2D scanner, universal tablet mount, orientation sensor, and the optional PowaPOS Cash Drawer, all powered by a single cord. Through its advanced, single-API SDK, PowaPOS is also the only tablet-based hardware to support POS software across all operating systems: iOS, Android and Windows; as well as support for any payment processor and third-party payment devices, including NFC.
