The GSMA today announced a partnership with the Shanghai International Information Consumption Festival in bringing mobile and ICT-focused exhibitions, events and activities to Shanghai. The GSMA Mobile World Congress Shanghai will be held 15-17 July, alongside the Shanghai International Information Consumption Festival at the Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC) and attendees will have access to a range of experiences across both shows. The Shanghai International Information Consumption Festival will also feature additional events, seminars and other activities held across the city during the week of 13 July.
“We are excited to form this collaboration with the Shanghai Government and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to hold the first Shanghai International Information Consumption Festival during our Mobile World Congress Shanghai event,” said John Hoffman, CEO, GSMA Ltd. “The Festival complements the programmes that we are undertaking at Mobile World Congress Shanghai and will demonstrate how citizens can utilise technology across many aspects of their everyday lives, such as education, healthcare, travel and entertainment, among others.”

New Keynote Speakers Confirmed for Mobile World Congress Shanghai
The GSMA confirmed two new speakers – Dr. Walter Schlebusch, CEO of G&D and Bill Morrow, CEO of nbn - Australia – who will be joining leaders from BSH Home Appliances, Idea Cellular, KDDI, Nokia, NTT DOCOMO, Telenor Group and Telstra on the keynote stage at Mobile World Congress Shanghai.
Beyond the keynote programme, the conference will address subjects such as digital commerce, enterprise mobility, innovation and start-ups, LTE and 5G, M2M and the Internet of Things, mobile identity and personalisation, network virtualisation and new business models for the mobile internet, among other topics.
