IPsoft acquires Swedish IT professional services firm to support rapid growth in Nordics.

IPsoft, the world-leading provider of automation solutions, today announced that it was expanding its capabilities in EMEA by acquiring prestige Swedish IT professional services firm, ab1 Group AB. The extended capabilities will enable IPsoft to capitalize on the high regional demand for implementation of its autonomic platform, IPcenter.

The 50-strong team of consultants at ab1, has more than 700 years of collective experience in guiding companies through complex IT transformation. Their skills will help accelerate the successful transition of IPcenter clients to automation-enabled IT operating models.

Together, IPsoft and ab1, provide direct support for more than 50 of Sweden’s largest organizations including Teliasonera, IKEA and Ericsson as well as public sector institutions including Stockholm Stad (the city of Stockholm) and Skatteverket (the Swedish tax agency). The change in ownership will interlock skills and abilities across the two business units and service will remain uninterrupted for existing ab1 clients. Moving forward, ab1 will continue to offer its full portfolio of services, ranging from IT strategy and sourcing consultancy, to IT transformation and management.
