MONSANTO
Monsanto France has been recognised as one of the top 20 great places to work in France for the second year in a row. Monsanto was awarded 20th place in the category ‘companies with more than 500 employees’ in the annual Great Place to Work® survey.
The Great Place to Work ® Institute France survey rankings are based on a combination of an assessment of employees’ responses to a survey about job satisfaction (2/3 of the score) and an independent assessment of human resources management, company culture and well-being at work (1/3 of the score).
“We are extremely proud to receive this award for the third consecutive year and it is testament to the hard work and dedication of our 600 employees, combined with a culture of growth and personal development that Monsanto strives to foster at all times,” said Isabelle Zonca-Mérieux, Human Resource Director of Monsanto France.
This prestigious ranking is just one of the latest recognitions for Monsanto, and reinforces Monsanto France’s previous achievements of being identified as a Great Place to Work among multinational companies for the past 3 years.
“This recognition helps us share the vision of Monsanto France and our 600 strong work force, not only with our customers, but also with French people as a whole,” said Zonca-Mérieux. “We also have recently launched our new website, www.decouvrir.monsanto.fr , which we hope will highlight to everyone the great work that our Monsanto France team does in developing and promoting sustainable agriculture in France.”
Last week, Monsanto was also awarded 6th place in the annual Great Place to Work ® awards in Belgium. In January, Monsanto was recognised as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by FORTUNE magazine. Monsanto was honored as No. 1 in its industry sector on the 2015 list, moving up from No. 2 in 2014.
Monsanto’s activities in France include research, development and production of innovative seeds and solutions for sustainable agriculture. The company markets maize and oilseed rape seeds (DEKALB® brand), vegetable seeds (Seminis® and De Ruiter® brands), and herbicides (Roundup® brand).
Monsanto has operations has sites in 11 of France’s major farming regions. Several seed research stations work on breeding high quality seeds in maize, oilseed rape and vegetables. These seeds are produced in many regions throughout France and then processed and bagged in three plant sites. The seeds are both delivered to and utilized by French farmers and also exported from France to 30 other countries.
