(“Limelight”) (Nasdaq:LLNW), a global leader in digital content delivery, today announced that its Limelight Orchestrate™ (“Orchestrate”) Performance and Orchestrate Cloud Storage services were selected to power Malaysia’s most popular Malay language news portal website, Sinar Harian , part of the largest media company in Malaysia, Kumpulan Media Karangkraf.

Limelight’s combined solution has increased Sinar Harian’s bandwidth by up to 30 percent, delivering continuous website availability to its 50 million monthly page views and rapidly growing audience.

Having experienced exponential growth of 20 percent year-over-year, Sinar Harian online faced the challenge of delivering a growing volume of content to a bigger and bigger audience. With such large traffic increases, Sinar Harian also needed to improve its ability to anticipate unexpected traffic surges to ensure continuous accessibility. Slow access to Sinar Harian would not only frustrate its audience’s web experience, but also, it would impact their bottom line from a resulting loss of advertising revenue. In addition, viewer expectations for increased speed, performance, and reduced latency have risen dramatically.
