The twentieth annual BIO-Europe® international partnering conference will take place November 3–5 in Frankfurt, Germany, at the Portalhaus Messe Frankfurt conference center.
“BIO-Europe has continued to be the leading European life science partnering event because of the high caliber companies that bring their teams to partner,” said Florian Schoenhammer, Group Managing Director, EBD Group. "In fact, this year we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the event which has grown from just 97 attendees in 1995 to over 3,200 in 2013. The reason for this growth is simply that it continues to successfully facilitate dealmaking in the industry."
BIO-Europe is organized by EBD Group in collaboration with local hosts, the Hessian Ministry of Economic, Transport, Urban and Regional Development, aka Hessian Biotech; Hessen Trade & Invest; and the Cluster for Individualized ImmuneIntervention (Ci3), the City of Mainz and the State of Rhineland Palatinate.

Highlights of the event are focused around partnering opportunities between leading dealmakers from biotech, pharma and finance, as well as a presenting companies track which provides direct access to innovative new drugs and technologies. The 2013 edition featured 184 company presentations from biotech and midsize pharma companies, next generation companies representing early stage projects and small entrepreneurial companies, and academic innovators.
The program of panels and workshops features industry thought leaders and executives speaking on topics relevant to industry decision makers. In addition to the regular program, there are featured pre- and post-events at BIO-Europe, including the Advanced Business Development Course, the China Forum, and an offering from Pharmaceutical Licensing and Collaboration Agreements: Legal Partnering.
