iMDsoft^® , a leader in clinical information systems, announced that MetaVision^® has gone live throughout the public health system for the entire Sjælland region of Denmark. The system was implemented in over 330 beds across the critical care and perioperative environments of seven hospitals, including adult and neonatal ICUs, pre-op units, ORs and PACUs. Implementation for the last three hospitals was completed in only four weeks from start to finish. iMDsoft and Medidyne cooperated to bring about this solution.

Patients in the Sjælland region now have one standardized electronic health record which can be accessed across departments and hospitals, giving clinicians the platform to coordinate care for the their sickest patients and the data they need to make informed decisions about the best course of treatment. MetaVision generates comprehensive, accurate, and actionable electronic medical records, offering minute-by-minute patient information collection and display. Using the system's advanced decision support and reporting tools, the hospitals will enforce clinical and administrative protocols and continually identify opportunities for improved patient care.
