Just like Braun’s Global Brand Ambassador, four times F1 champion Sebastian Vettel, Braun is stepping onto the winner’s podium this winter to accept a host of the planet’s most renowned product awards. From three of Europe’s greatest independent comparative consumer product testing powerhouses – Stiftung Warentest (StiWa) in Germany, Which? in the UK and the Dutch Consumer Authority – to the world’s leading magazine titles, including Men’s Health in France, Braun shavers have been recognized among the best available on the market - in terms of quality, performance, consumer friendliness and design.
The broad recognition of the Braun Savers Series 7, 5 and 3 is a confirmation of the brand’s mission to always bring the best grooming solutions to men – worldwide. In particular the global recognition of the Braun °CoolTec, the world’s first shaver with active cooling technology has stand out: “With its launch in 2013 we knew that this would transform the world of male shaving. Prior to launch USA Today had already placed the °CoolTec at the top of its “products to watch in 2013” list. But what happened next is simply fantastic. We are seeing the experts, consumers and media thrilled by this new cooling experience, paired with the shaving quality you’d expect from a Braun, ” said Michael Kewley, Braun Male Power Grooming Associate Marketing Director. “Bringing design, technology and innovation together is what we do, but we are always delighted when internationally respected independent organisations recognise the peerless quality of Braun devices. To perform so well in rigorous consumer testing environments all around the world shows that the outstanding quality of German engineering is travelling well.”
Braun’s awards tour throughout 2013 saw its shavers gaining accolades from a variety of the world’s most esteemed institutions and magazine titles…
Stiftung Warentest in Germany – Gold & Three Silvers for Braun!
Braun experienced a landslide win in the comparative test of 14 different shavers conducted by the highly esteemed independent StiWa Foundation for Product Testing (Stiftung Warentest). The test-winner was the Series 7 799c-7, the only electric shaver in the rigorous test to achieve a “VERY GOOD” (1.5) rating, delivering the closest shave and the best battery performance “by far”. The Braun °CoolTec CT4-s Wet & Dry, the Series 5 5030s, and the Series 3 340s-4 Wet & Dry came in as 2nd best performing electric razors in the test, all receiving a “GOOD” (1.6). The Braun °CoolTec, the world’s first shaver with active cooling technology, was singled out for specific praise by the shaver testers, who gave it the best score for gentleness on the skin.
Three Braun “Best Buy” awards in the UK - Which?
Which?, the UK’s most-respected consumer magazine, awarded three Braun shavers a coveted ‘Best Buy’ in its recent electric shaver group test. First, the pioneering Braun °CoolTec gained a ‘Best Buy’ award, with Which? highlighting the shaver’s capabilities over its rivals. According to Which?, the “clever self-cooling strip was very popular with our testers”, praising the cutting-edge aluminium cooling bar for reducing shaving irritation for men with sensitive skin. Which? also gave the Series 5 5030s the highest percentage score achieved by any shaver in the entire test, stating the “impressive” 26 shaves achievable between battery charges. Finally Which? gave the Series 3 340s-4 Wet & Dry a ‘Best Buy’ and a ‘Great Value’ award, stating how the shaver is at home in the shower, with the “anti-slip handle making it easy to grip even with soapy hands”.
Best Tested for three Braun shavers in the Netherlands: Consumentenbond
In the Netherlands Braun shavers received fantastic consumer test results. The Consumentenbond (Dutch Consumer Authority) tested the Series 3 340 s4 Wet & Dry, Series 5 5030s and the °CoolTec and graded all three as ‘Beste uit de test’ (Best Tested), securing 1st , 3rd and 4th place in the test. The testers were particularly delighted by the overall shaving performance of all three and by the Braun shavers’ capabilities in the shower and wet environments.
°CoolTec – The “Darling” of French Media
Not only independent product testing institutions acknowledged Braun shavers, but also leading media titles such as Men’s Health in France. It recognized the Braun °CoolTec’s “good grip”, “cutting efficiency” and the “pleasant” and “refreshing” cooling function – all factors which ensured it was the highest rated electric shaver in the Men’s Health Grooming Awards 2013 . In addition, France’s biggest trade magazine LSA made the °CoolTec the winner of its highly sought-after “Trophée LSA 2013 de l'Innovation.”
At Braun form follows function – prestigious Design, Globally renowned awards
Quality and consumer friendliness secured these wins. But for Braun, shavers are not just tools. Braun’s key design ethics of functionality, quality and aesthetics have continued to gain plaudits for its shavers. The °CoolTec took home a Good Design Award from Good Design Australia, along with achieving a special mention in the German Design Council’s German Design Awards 2014. Also, the °CoolTec received a RedDot Design Award, with the prestigious organisation’s independent jury of more than 30 renowned members from all over the world stating that the “°CoolTec is notable for its innovative technology, which is visually underlined by the metallic ice-blue of the appliance.”

Low AI fluency, uneven adoption, and marginal productivity gains are limiting enterprise-scale impact According to Forrester’s (Nasdaq: FORR) latest report, Accelerate Your AI Voyage, most enterprises are struggling to turn growing AI adoption and investment into measurable business impact. One of the key factors holding businesses back is low artificial intelligence quotient (AIQ) — Forrester’s measure of AI aptitude — with many employees lacking a clear understanding of how to use AI. Other barriers include an overemphasis on productivity-focused use cases, difficulty measuring impact, and siloed adoption within individual functions. While these challenges can leave firms frozen in doubt or indecision, the wait-and-see approach to AI adoption is no longer viable.
