Pacer International, Inc. (Nasdaq: PACR), a leading North American freight transportation and global logistics services provider, is pleased to announce that effective July 1st , 2013, Ocean World Lines has added Menzell Frankfurt to its OWL Network, as it continues to expand its global footprint and select high quality logistics service providers to enhance its portfolio of transportation products.
Ocean World Lines has collaborated with Menzell Frankfurt to take over Agency representation in Hessen, near Frankfurt, Germany.
“We’ve taken our time to interview and select, in our opinion, one of the most innovative and customer-orientated 3rd party logistics service providers located in the Frankfurt region,” commented Juergen Moeke, Managing Director, OWL Ocean World Lines Europe GmbH. “Menzell Frankfurt’s expertise will be a welcome enhancement for OWL customers shipping to and from the region.”
Menzell was founded in 1895 initially as a ship owner and has since evolved into a third party logistics provider. “From the very start our team has been very excited about the opportunity to introduce our customers to the vast Ocean World Lines global network,” remarked Andreas Schuldt, Branch Manager for Menzell Frankfurt.
As the new agent for Ocean World Lines in Frankfurt, Menzell will integrate OWL’s operating system, which will further enhance connectivity, streamline communications and operational efficiencies, and reduce complexities for Ocean World Lines network shipments. The German economy has proven to be resilient through the recent financial downturn and this latest network enhancement demonstrates the strength of customer demand and confidence in the German market that Ocean World Lines has.
Ocean World Lines continues to refine and enhance its network in line with customer requirements to streamline the logistics processes and service providers for its customers resulting in a more effective element to its customers’ overall commercial environment.
