Vectron International Announces Ultra Low Noise 100MHz OCXO

-176dBc/Hz Noise Floor Achieved in a 25.4mm x 25.4 mm Package

The OX-205 Ultra Low Noise OCXO achieves a -178dBc/Hz phase noise floor in 25.4mm x 25.4mm footprint. This product will be showcased in Hall B5, Stand 237 at the Electronica 2012 Show in Munich, Germany from November 13-16^th 2012.

Demanding detection and signal processing applications require resolution of increasingly weak signals, which, in turn, require a frequency reference with the lowest possible phase noise. Until now, finding a stable low phase noise reference, especially at higher frequencies presented a challenge to the system designer.

"The OX-205, with industry-leading phase noise performance reduces the frequency multiplication requirement, allowing designers to meet ever increasing performance goals.”

The OX-205 provides outputs from 60 to 120MHz, with 100MHz as standard. For a 100MHz output the Phase Noise at 100Hz offset is -135dBc/Hz and at 100kHz reaches the -176dBc/Hz floor. In addition to OX-205 100MHz Ultra Low Noise oscillator, Vectron also offers customers the OX-204 10MHz Ultra Low Noise oscillator, along with innovative clock path technology including OCXOs TCXOs, XOs VCXOs, VCSOs and jitter attenuators that provide ultra low jitter timing solutions.
