EnVerv Announces Availability of its Flagship EV8000 Single-Chip PLC Modem

Standards-Compliant Single Chip System on Chip (SoC) offers Interoperability and Best in Class Connectivity

EnVerv announced today general availability of its single chip EV8000 Power-Line Communication (PLC) modem System on Chip (SoC) targeted at data communication applications at the core of utility Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) networks enabling reliable and extended coverage for mission critical applications such as Smart Meters, Data Concentrators, Home Energy Management Systems (HEMS), In-Home Display (IHD), etc.

With its high performance soft-modem architecture, EV8000 comprises the following features:

• Standards compliant (G3-PLC, PRIME, ITU G.9955, IEEE1901.2)
• Advanced high-performance 4GPLC™
• Integrated Line Driver, Physical Layer (PHY), MAC Layer and Convergence Layers (6LoWPAN and IEC 4-32)
• 9KHz-500KHz programmable operation frequency band compliant to FCC, CENELEC and ARIB mask requirements
• Internal host processor for customer applications with dedicated Flash and RAM memory
